More than eight in ten women (83%) claim to monitor their diet lose weight, according to an exclusive poll conducted by Harris Interactive for Top Health, published September 25 in this magazine. 30% of women would pay attention to what they eat continuously. These plans involve constraints, however, whose hunger between meals, cited by 65% of women surveyed. 55% worried about having to give up certain foods, including bread and chocolate.

The women interviewed are especially careful about their online before the summer (92%) and after the holidays (89%). They also monitor their particular line back from vacation (78%) and before an important event (73%).

The main reasons for weight gain are the snacks (40%), stress (32%) and a balanced diet is not enough (29%) or too rich (25%) as major stakeholders. For women over fifty years, menopause is a factor for weight the most important (61%).

The women surveyed say they want to lose weight primarily to feel better about their body and head (86%), to appeal more (72%) but also for health reasons (61%). Nearly four in ten women (39%) reported monitoring their weight to please the beloved.

The biggest constraints are the regimes of hunger between meals (65%) and fatigue (64%). The meal with friends and business meals are also difficult to manage in times of regime for 58% of them. Because 55% of women surveyed fear having to give up certain foods.

Bread (47%), chocolate (38%) and cheese ((37%) top foods with the women say they can not do without. Pastes come in fourth position.

43% of women believe that a system should not be a source of deprivation, and must also be associated with pleasure. For almost all women (93%), physical activity can have beneficial effects on a diet.

68% even think that physical activity would increase “considerably” an effective system. Nearly one in four women has already consulted an expert to help him lose weight, be it a nutritionist (19%) or a dietician (19%).

Regarding methods accompanying bags protein (13% of use) and dietary supplements (11%) were the most successful to date.

The survey was conducted online from June 12 to 18, with a sample of 1000 women representative of the French population aged 15 and over.
